ISAAK KARAEV is the Chairman and CEO of Multex.com, Inc. As the driving
force behind the company's overall business strategy, Mr. Karaev has led
Multex.com to become the world's largest interactive community of
investors, analysts and brokers. With a background in mathematics, Mr.
Karaev came to the US from Russia in 1980. In 1984, Mr. Karaev joined
Goldman, Sachs & Co. as a Manager of Research and Development. Launching
his entrepreneurial career in 1986, Mr. Karaev formed Multex Software,
Inc., a Wall Street information technology company. Multex Software
developed the first MS Windows-based, market data application delivering
real time quotes, charts and other fundamental data to individual
investors. Automatic Data Processing (ADP) bought Multex Software in
1989 to help build ADP's next generation of workstation utilizing Multex
technology. Mr. Karaev was named Senior Vice President of the Brokerage
Information Services Group at ADP and served as Chairman of the
company's Technology Committee. Continuing its innovative technologies
in the early 1990s, Multex developed ADP's FS Partner for Windows, OS/2
and UNIX market data platforms to deliver real time financial
information to Wall Street professionals. In 1993, Mr. Karaev proposed
that ADP spin off Multex.com. ADP agreed and Mr. Karaev began to build
strategic and financial partnerships with AT&T, ADP, R.R. Donnelley and
