Irene Hrusovsky – Eragen Biosciences

DR. IRENE HRUSOVSKY, President, Chief Executive Officer and a Director at EraGen Biosciences, spearheads EraGen's work to drive genetic diagnostics and drugs to market faster. She has empowered the company to address compelling issues in genomic and proteomic research to meet the needs of the current and future marketplace. Dr. Hrusovsky leads a team comprised of industry experts who are well versed in the challenges of commercializing breakthrough technologies for diagnostic and therapeutic applications. Dr. Hrusovsky possesses nearly three decades of diverse experience in healthcare business management and medical leadership. She has extensive business experience in diagnostics and pharmaceuticals with recognition for her excellent leadership and entrepreneurial skills. Prior to joining EraGen, she served as Vice President, General Medicine/Medical Marketing Strategy/Clinical Operations at GlaxoSmithKline where she successfully designed and implemented new business models for new product commercialization and for the company's North American Clinical Operations. Prior to her position at Glaxo, Dr. Hrusovsky spent over 20 years with Abbott Laboratories, where she held various executive management positions in diagnostics, pharmaceuticals, business development and new business ventures. Dr. Hrusovsky is a Board Certified Pediatrician, educated in Canada, where she received her Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry and Genetics at Vancouver and her Doctor of Medicine degree at the University of British Columbia.
