IAN C. YATES is the Chairman, President and CEO of InfoLibria, Inc., where he is responsible for the strategic direction and overall day-to-day operations of the company. Prior to founding InfoLibria, Mr. Yates was involved in building and financing other start up ventures including MMT, Inc., an environmental technology company, where he was the sixth employee and founder of its business development and marketing organization. During his tenure with MMT, Mr. Yates helped to increase the companys market capitalization to more than $1 billion and its annual sales to more than $50 million in five years. He also served as the Vice President of Sales and Market Development. Prior to MMT, Inc., Mr. Yates worked with American Re-Insurance Strategic Ventures, and Exxon Chemical Ventures, where he was responsible for investing in early-stage technology-based companies. Mr. Yates has authored and co-authored peer-reviewed papers on a number of topics, including corporate venture capital, and is a co-inventor on two technology patents.
