Iain A. Watt – Edinburgh Fund Managers Plc

IAIN A. WATT joined Edinburgh in 1986 to spearhead the expansion of the pension fund activities. He was appointed Chief Executive in August 1995 following the restructuring of the company and is a Director of Edinburgh New Tiger Trust plc and Edinburgh Dragon Trust plc, the pacific investment trust companies managed by Edinburgh. Before joining Edinburgh Fund Managers, Iain Watt was involved in the early stages of the development of The Bank of Scotland Investment Services Department and was made Manager of the Department at the age of 29. Over the next six years, he made certain that the Department became a profitable entity while the Funds under Management expanded substantially. Additionally, he was responsible for the management of the Bank of Scotland Group Pension Fund. In 1982, he became a Director of the British Linen Bank (the merchant bank subsidiary of Bank of Scotland) responsible for managing the institutional pension fund clients of the Bank and The Bank of Scotland Group Pension Funds.
