Hans Roger Snook – Orange Plc (ora.l)

HANS ROGER SNOOK is the Chief Executive Officer and Group Managing Director of Orange plc and a Board Director of Hutchison Telecommunications Limited (a Hutchison Whampoa Company). He is also a member of the main board of all Group Companies in the U.K., France and Germany. Mr. Snook joined HTUK in January, 1993. Prior to joining HTUK, Mr. Snook supervised the consolidation and upgrading of Hutchison Telecommunications' acquisitions in Hong Kong in the paging, cellular and CT2/Telepoint industry and created the largest private paging company in Asia and one of the most profitable globally. In a parallel role as Group Operations Director he also managed the expansion of Hutchison Telecommunications paging activities on a world-wide basis with ongoing businesses and projects in Hong Kong, Australia, Thailand, Malaysia, the PRC, Macau and India, with a strategy that focused on revenues, cost control and quality services. Prior to joining the Hutchison Group twelve years ago, Mr. Snook was General Manager of Speedy Paging Service Limited in Hong Kong, and also assisted in the management of the Young Generation Group of paging companies. Before moving to Hong Kong, Mr. Snook gained extensive managerial experience in the hotel and hospitality industry in Vancouver and Calgary, Canada.
