GEORGE C. CARPENTER, IV is Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of CORE, Inc. Mr. Carpenter is responsible for all executive management functions of CORE, Inc., a publicly-held national managed care firm that provides disability and group health medical review services to Fortune 500 employers and insurance carriers. Mr. Carpenter led the management buyout of CORE's predecessor organization, the Health Data Institute, from Baxter International in 1990. At Baxter, Mr. Carpenter held senior management positions, including Vice President of Operations and Vice President, Automotive and Corporate Accounts. He has published and spoken extensively on issues of disability management and medical review technology, and has acted as a principal consultant to several Fortune 500 clients.
