GARY HEGNA joined Ecometry Corporation, previously known as Smith-
Gardner, in April 1996 as President, Director and CEO. After his
appointment to Chairman of the Board in February 2000, he promoted John
Marrah from COO to President of the company. Today Mr. Hegna continues
to serve as Chairman of the Board and CEO for Ecometry's US, UK and
Australian operations. During his tenure, Mr. Hegna has overseen the
development of Ecometry Corporation as it progressed from a catalog and
direct marketing software system provider to a company offering a fully
integrated front- and back-end solution for the multi-channel retailing
industry. Mr. Hegna came to Ecometry Corporation from OpenConnect
Systems, Inc., where, in his four years as Chairman, President and CEO,
he transformed the company from being a total hardware solutions
provider to a total software provider. His work there earned the company
a spot in the Top100 Independent Software Vendors in the world.
Previously, Mr. Hegna held assignments including a five-year tenure as
President and CEO of ICL North America, as well as various management
and executive roles for Xerox Corporation, Data General Corporation,
PrimeComputer Incorporated, and Encore Computer. Profile
