Ronald A. Laborde – Piccadilly Cafeterias (pic)

RONALD A. LA BORDE is President and Chief Executive Officer of Piccadilly Cafeterias, Inc. Mr. La Borde was born and raised in Baton Rouge and attended Louisiana State University where he earned a BS in Accounting and a MS in Finance. He began his professional career as a staff accountant with the firm of Ernst & Whinney. He then became Controller of an affiliated group of privately held corporations engaged principally in public warehousing and intrastate and interstate trucking. Mr. La Borde joined Piccadilly in 1982 as Assistant Controller and also has held the additional positions of Controller and Corporate Secretary. In 1992 he assumed the position of Chief Financial Officer and was elected as a member of the Board of Directors. He was named President and CEO in June 1995. Piccadilly owns and operates 131 cafeterias in fifteen states, four Piccadilly Express in Associated Grocer supermarkets, and seven Ralph & Kaccoo's seafood restaurants in three states and has annual sales in excess of $300 million. Ronnie is a board member of Junior Achievement of Greater Baton Rouge and Acadiana, The ARC of Baton Rouge, Bishop Joseph V. Sullivan Development Board, The Greater Baton Rouge Chamber of Commerce and the E.J. Ourso College of Business Administration Partnership for Excellence Board. He is also a member of Baton Rouge Rotary Club. Mr. La Borde won the business honors award from the Baton Rouge Business Report: 40 under 40 in 1995. He also coaches youth sports. Profile
