Robert J. Reis – Dlr Advisors Llc

ROBERT J. REIS is president and chief executive officer of DLR Advisors, LLC. He was born and raised in Southeastern Massachusetts where he entered Roger Williams College in 1972 and graduated with a B.S. in Civil Engineering in 1976. He subsequently moved to Houston, Texas where he worked as an engineer until joining Drexel Burnham Lambert as an institutional broker in 1983. He was responsible for providing equity research for 70 institutions in the Southwest, with equity portfolios ranging from 50 million dollars to over 20 billion dollars. This is where he developed his understanding of the markets as they related to conventional money management. In the fall of 1986, Mr. Reis left Drexel Burnham and he joined Lehman Brothers, a division of the American Express Company. While continuing to focus on institutional accounts, he began putting more emphasis on the management of individual portfolios. In 1990, at the urging of his clients, Mr. Reis began DLR investments, where he implemented a trend analysis portfolio model that he developed while at Lehman Brothers. The emphasis of this management discipline was to protect his client's capital. Mr. Reis is an engineer by training with over 15 year experience involved with the management of portfolios and development of trading strategies in the financial markets. Profile
