Kevin Abbott – Alpha Airports Group Plc (aap.l)

KEVIN ABBOTT is Chief Executive Officer at ALPHA Airports Group PLC. He is 43 years old, married to Janet and they live in Southwest London with their three children. After studying Chemistry at Cambridge, Mr. Abbott gained an MSc in Business Studies before entering merchant banking with Schroders where he developed investment and strategic analysis skills. He then transferred to manufacturing industry with Redland, a leading global building materials group, where he worked for 16 years ' initially as Corporate Planning Manager and thereafter undertaking a divisional Finance Director's role. His first general management appointment was as UK Managing Director of Redland Roof Tiles. Mr. Abbott was subsequently promoted to the PLC Board as Global Roofing Director where he developed Redland's roofing operations in continental Europe and Asia. More recently he has worked with Rexam (previously Bowater) as International packaging Director and then Global Food & Beverage Packaging Director where he orchestrated a major restructuring to complement a rapidly consolidating and coordinated customer base.
