JOHN B. KILROY, JR. is the President, Chief Executive Officer and a
Director of Kilroy Realty Corporation. He has held these positions since
the company's formation and initial public offering of common stock in
January 1997. He held similar positions with its predecessor, Kilroy
Industries, a California corporation, serving as President since 1981
and as Chief Executive Officer from 1991 to January 31, 1997. Mr. Kilroy
began his career in commercial real estate in 1967, and has been
involved in all aspects of the industry, including acquisition and
development, marketing, and finance, during his three decades with the
various Kilroy entities. Mr. Kilroy is an active participant in both
industry and community organizations, including current or past
involvement in NAREIT, the National Realty Committee, the Urban Land
Institute, BOMA, and the National Fitness Foundation. He holds a
Bachelor's degree in Economics from the University of Southern
