Allen Chan – Sino-forest Corporation (trea.a.to)

KEE Y. WONG is Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Sino-Forest. He is a member of the executive management team and as such works closely with Allen Chan, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, in establishing strategic direction for the company. In his capacity as Chief Financial Officer, Mr. Wong has overall responsibility for the finance and accounting department and lead all major corporate financing activity of the company. Mr. Wong also has responsibility for overseeing and managing the Canadian and Hong Kong operations including investor relations. Prior to immigrating to Canada in 1988, Mr. Wong resided in England for almost 10 years where he qualified as a Chartered Accountant. He is currently a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales and a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Canada. Mr. Wong joined Sino-Forest in October 1996. Prior to October 1996, Mr. Wong was a partner with Ernst and Young in Toronto, Canada where he acted as auditor and business advisor to many growth-oriented companies. Profile
ALLEN T.Y. CHAN founded Sino-Wood in 1993 and became Chairman and CEO of Sino-Forest Corporation in 1994. Prior to Sino-Wood becoming a wholly owned subsidiary of Sino-Forest in 1994, he had been heavily involved in China projects for 12 years as project manager in the 1980s and management consultant in the early 1990s. Prior to his China years, Mr. Chan had experiences in the Hong Kong government's new town development and management programs as well as in the private sector managing a chain of floating restaurants in Hong Kong for four years. Mr. Chan is a well-known writer on culture, history and business subjects with books published both in Hong Kong and China. He regularly speaks in the local universities as well as to the public.
