Kevin Rankin

KEVIN RANKIN is co-founder, president and ceo of Tropical Networks, Inc.
Prior to co-founding Tropic Networks, Kevin held several leadership
positions in the telecom and networking industries. Most recently, he
co-founded and served as Vice-President of the Broadband Copper Access
division at Newbridge Networks. Kevin built and led a team of 130 people
that catapulted Newbridge into a new line of business, consistently
achieved more than 200 percent of its budget objectives, and ultimately
secured Newbridge’s largest client. In a career spanning over 19 years
in the telecom industry, Kevin has also held senior sales and business
management positions with LSI Logic Corporation and Nortel Networks. He
received his Bachelor of Applied Science in Chemical Engineering and
Management from McMaster University in Hamilton, Canada
