John E. Gilbank

JOHN E. GILBANK has been Chairman, Chief Executive Officer and a
Director of CE Franklin Ltd. since the combination of Continental Emsco
and Franklin Supply in 1995, and President since September 1998. Prior
to this position, he was President of Canadian Rig Ltd., a designer and
builder of advanced technology oilfield drilling equipment. Previously
he had been General Manager of Renn Industries, a manufacturer and
distributor of machinery for the oilfield, construction and agricultural
industries, and President of a Kansas-based oilfield drilling and well
servicing company. Mr. Gilbank served as a Trade Policy Officer and as a
Trade Commissioner in the Canadian Diplomatic Service from 1972 to 1981.
He is a graduate of the University of Waterloo.
