JOHN BANKS, who is a qualified accountant, was Managing Director in the
1970s of the Hardy Amies fashion group, following which he spent some
years as a consultant raising money for and advising a number of small
companies in the fashion and media industries. In 1984 he formed VTR
where he continues to be Chief Executive.
