Jerry Wang

JERRY WANG is President and CEO of NextComm, Inc., and has more
than 20 years of experience in wireless and communication product
development. Prior to founding NextComm, Mr. Wang was Director of
System Engineering for AT&T Wireless, Wireless Local Technology
Group, where he led the system engineering effort for AT&T
Wireless Local Loop using OFDM technology. Mr. Wang has also
served as Vice President of Sharp Microelectronics Technology,
Inc., where he developed an IS-54/IS-136 dual-mode digital
cellular phone, a GSM phone, and a credit-card-size 900 MHz
POCSAG pager/organizer. Previously, Mr. Wang served with Motorola
cellular. As a veteran of the cellular industry, he led the
development of SS7 and GSM Base Station development from 1984 to
1991. Mr. Wang received his BS in Physics from Central
University, Taiwan; his MS in Applied Physics from National
Tsing-Hua University, Taiwan; and his MSEE from Illinois
Institute of Technology, Chicago. Mr. Wang is a named inventor on
three issued patents in the area of digital radio design.
