James M. Marks

JAMES M. MARKS was appointed President of Belzberg Technologies Inc. in
September 2001. Prior to joining Belzberg, Mr. Marks was a Director in
Equity Research at Credit Suisse First Boston and a Managing Director at
Deutsche Banc Alex. Brown before that. He covered electronic commerce
stocks, specializing in online financial services and financial
technology. Named by Future Banker magazine as one of the 25 most
influential personalities in financial services, Mr. Marks pioneered the
coverage of online brokerage and banking stocks and was regarded as the
leading analyst covering financial technology stocks. Before becoming a
sell-side analyst, in 1987 Mr. Marks helped found and manage SNL
Securities, a database company specializing in providing information and
other data services on financial stocks to institutional investors. At
SNL, Mr. Marks helped launch online delivery of financial information to
Wall Street. He remained a partner at SNL until 1993 when he joined
Sutro & Co./Hancock Institutional Equity Services as a Financial
Services Equity Analyst.
