JAMES F. KIDD, Vice Chairman and CEO of LNB Bancorp, Inc. and its
subsidiary Lorain National Bank, is known in Ohio banking circles as the
prototypical community bank CEO. With local roots, he began his banking
career as a teller with Lorain National Bank in 1964. As he rose through
the ranks of branch management, lending and senior management, Mr. Kidd
has always been known by his employees and customers as the people’s
banker. His bank has grown to 21 branches with nearly $600 million in
assets. A graduate of Findlay University, the Ohio School of Banking and
a product of the prestigious Stonier Graduate School of Banking, he has
directed the only remaining independently-owned, nationally-chartered
