JACK HAMPTON is the Executive Director of the Risk and Insurance
Management Society (RIMS) in New York City. He was previously the
provost at the College of Insurance and dean of the business schools of
Seton Hall and Central Connecticut State universities. He also held the
position of President of the Princeton Consulting Group (PCG). RIMS is
the premier global risk management organization. It promotes systematic
efforts to minimize exposures and protect organizations against the
risks confronting them. Mr. Hampton is leading the RIMS effort to
develop programs that integrate ERM into the strategic planning
processes of business, non-profit and public sector entities. Prior to
joining RIMS, Mr. Hampton specialized in projects that integrate
strategic planning, marketing and finance in a global framework. Since
1970, he has worked with major corporations, financial institutions,
government agencies and universities. These include AIG, AT&T, Willis,
the World Bank and the Noboa Group (Ecuador). He was General Editor of
the third edition of the American Management Association flagship
publication, the AMA Management Handbook. Mr. Hampton holds master’s and
doctoral degrees in business from the George Washington University.
