Herbert A. Trucksess

HERBERT A. TRUCKSESS III is Chairman, President and Chief Executive
Officer for SCS Transportation, Inc. He is responsible for corporate
strategy development and management oversight of the operating
subsidiaries. Prior to being promoted to his current position in January
2000, Mr. Trucksess was Senior Vice President and Chief Financial
Officer for Yellow Corporation, a position he held since June 1994.
Prior to his position at Yellow Corporation, he was Senior Vice
President and Chief Financial Officer for Preston Corporation, which was
acquired by Yellow Corporation in 1993. From 1984 to 1991, he served as
Chief Financial Officer of trucking affiliates of Sun Carriers, Inc.
Previously, he held several financial management positions with the Sun
Company, then a diversified energy company (primarily now Sunoco). Mr.
Trucksess is a member of the American Trucking Associations (ATA) Board
of Directors, holding the position of Vice President-at-large, and a
member of the ATA Litigation Center Board of Directors. In 1971, he
received a Bachelor of Science degree in Business and Economics from
Lehigh University in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, with highest honors and
Phi Beta Kappa recognition.
