Hans Tormod Hansen

HANS TORMOD HANSEN has been President and Chief Executive Officer of
Hafslund ASA since 1996. Mr Hansen holds a Master of Science degree and
a Ph.D in Civil Engineering from the Norwegian Institute of Technology.
He started his career in 1980, in Det Norske Veritas, as the Head of
Information Systems and manger of a number of joint venture projects and
EC-financed development programs. In 1989, he joined McKinsey & Compay
Inc, in Scandinavia, as a Senior Engagement Manager in the McKinsey Oslo
Office and co-leader of the Scandinivian Energy practice and the
European Energy Utility Subsector Group, with particular expertise in
the electric utility and natural gas industries. In 1996, he left
McKinsey to take up the position of President and Chief Executive
Officer of Hafslund ASA. He is married with four children and lives in
Billingstad, Norway.
