George Kosanovich

GEORGE KOSANOVICH was named President and Chief Operating Officer of
Stella-Jones, Inc., effective November 2, 1998. Between 1973 and 1996,
Mr. Kosanovich held various management positions in the USA at OxyChem
Corporation, a subsidiary of Occidental Petroleum. His background at
OxyChem included positions in technology, venture management,
manufacturing, strategic planning and mergers and acquisitions. Since
early 1996 and until his appointment with Stella-Jones Inc, Mr.
Kosanovich was President, Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the
Board of ARC Resins International Corporation, a Canadian public company
that manufactures resins for the wood industry and insulation
applications. Mr. Kosanovich holds a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from
the State University of New York at Buffalo and attended Harvard
University’s PMD Program in the Graduate School of Business
Administration.
