George C. Yeonas

GEORGE C. YEONAS is a member of the Board, Director, President & CEO of
The Fortress Group, Inc. Prior to joining Fortress, Mr. Yeonas was
President and General Manager of the South Florida Division for the
Arvida Company, one of the nation’s leading community development firms.
Included in Mr. Yeonas’ responsibility was the management of the new
city of Weston, Florida, the number one selling community in the state
with over $250 million in annual sales, as well as a number of other
golf course and country club communities. Mr. Yeonas joined Arvida after
serving as Vice President of Development for NVR in Washington, DC, and
as Divisional Partner for Trammell Crow in Tampa, Florida. He has also
been engaged in a number of consulting assignments involving distressed
property restructuring and disposition of institutional real estate loan
portfolios. Mr. Yeonas received his Bachelor’s of Science degree in
Management from Georgetown University and his MBA from The Wharton
School of the University of Pennsylvania. He has served on the Board of
Advisors of the Broward Economic Development Council; the Board of
Overseers of Lynn University; is an active member of the National
Association of Homebuilders and the Wharton Graduate Association, and
served as an Adjunct Professor at Lynn University.
