Gary W. Goertz

GARY W. GOERTZ is Executive Vice President, Finance and Chief Financial
Officer of MDS Inc. Prior to joining MDS in 1999 as the Executive Vice
President and CFO, Mr. Goertz was Executive Vice President and CFO of
TELUS. Prior to that he was the Senior Vice President and CFO of Federal
Industries. He has a BA degree in Commerce from the University of
British Columbia and earned his CA at Touche, Ross & Co.
