Gary Grenter

GARY GRENTER has been the President, Chief Executive Officer and a
Director of Kyphon Inc., a manufacturer of products used to treat
vertebral compression fractures, since July 2001. From April 1998 to
December 2000, he was President, Chief Executive Officer and a Director
of Biolectron, a manufacturer of orthopedic surgical products. From
October 1991 to April 1998, he was Vice President and General Manager of
the Knee Team of Stryker Osteonics, a manufacturer of orthopedic
products. Mr. Grenter holds a BS in Production Management from Northern
Illinois University and an MBA in Management from the Rochester
Institute of Technology.
