GUSTAV CHRISTENSEN joined Phylos in August 2000 as Chief Executive
Officer. Most recently, Mr. Christensen was Chairman of Primedica and
Co-Founder, Director and consultant to Phytera. Prior to this, Mr.
Christensen worked in various capacities, including Chairman, Founding
Director, investor and consultant to several companies, such as, Alpha-
Beta Technology, Diatide, Insmed, Geltex and several private companies.
From 1988 to 1990, he served as Chief Executive Officer of ImmuLogic,
and from 1983 to 1988 he served as Senior Vice President, Commercial
Affairs at Genetics Institute. From 1976 to 1983, Mr. Christensen held a
variety of management positions at Baxter International. He holds an MBA
from Harvard Business School. Profile
ASHLEY LAWTON, President of Phylos, Inc., was previously Vice President,
Operations at Genzyme Corporation. He joined Phylos in August 1997.
Prior to his tenure with Genzyme, he served as Executive Vice President
and General Manager of Repligen Corporation and held senior management
positions with Celltech Biologics and Eli Lilly & Co. Ltd. He has an
established track record in managing biotechnology operations,
negotiating deals involving technology licensing and contract services,
and developing protein biopharmaceuticals. Dr. Lawton received his PhD
in Biochemistry from Southampton University, UK. He is also a graduate
of the Executive MBA Program of Boston University. Profile
