John Hooks

JOHN HOOKS has been President and Chief Executive Officer of Phoenix
Technology Services Inc. since 1995 and Chairman of the Board of Phoenix
since 2000. Phoenix is a publicly traded oil and gas service company
that provides horizontal and directional drilling, manufacturing, sales
and service of proprietary guidance systems. Phoenix also rents downhole
tools and service rig pipe handling systems through separate divisions.
In 1985, Mr. Hooks founded Thread Tech Energy Systems Ltd., a private
connection manufacturing and pipe distribution company that was acquired
by Hunting Plc in November 2000. In addition Mr. Hooks was a co-Founder
and is currently a Board member of Octane Energy Services Ltd., a
publicly traded oil and gas service company that provides construction,
facility and pipeline operations. Mr. Hooks has over 25 years of
experience in the Canadian and international oil and gas industry.
