Helyn Corcos

HELYN CORCOS is the Senior Director of Investor Relations of
Symantec Corporation, responsible for Symantec’s communications
with the investment community, including institutional and
individual investors as well as sell-side financial analysts. In
her position, Ms. Corcos manages investor expectations and
analyzes the effects of company-specific, sector and market
developments on Symantec’s share price. Since joining Symantec in
March 2000, Ms. Corcos has increased the analyst coverage on the
company from four to over 30. From 1994 to 2000, Ms. Corcos was a
Director with Thomson Financial, a consulting firm specializing
in investor relations to leading, publicly traded technology
companies. Ms. Corcos was a member of a three-person team
responsible for building the company’s technology group in San
Francisco. Ms. Corcos has extensive experience working with
investor relations professionals of large, mid- and small cap
companies involved in corporate restructurings, spinoffs and
secondary offerings. Insight into the equity markets and the key
drivers affecting the decision-making process of the buyside
community was developed through experience as an Asset Management
Analyst at Madison Portfolio Consultants. Ms. Corcos evaluated
the performance of various money mangers for selection and
placement of pension, trust and union funds. As Vice President of
Municipal Sales for Salomon Smith Barney, Ms. Corcos was
responsible for marketing and sales of municipal bonds to
traders, retail brokers and broker/dealers within seven west
coast states. Ms. Corcos earned a Master of Business
Administration degree in finance from New York University’s Stern
School of Business and a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics
from the University of Oregon.
