Gerald Smith

GERALD SMITH is Chairman, President and CEO of Viragen, Inc. He has over
35 years of experience in management, marketing, and financing private
and publicly held emerging growth companies. Mr. Smith was a co-founder,
Chairman and President of Cytoferon Corp., an entity formed to acquire
operating control of Viragen and which also served as its marketing and
management service company. In 1993 Mr. Smith became Chairman of the
Board and President of Viragen and has since led the company’s
revitalization effort. From 1982 to 1993 Mr. Smith was a principal
stockholder, President, Chief Executive Officer and Director of Business
Development Corp., Miami, Florida, which has served as a managing entity
and consultant to several high technology ventures.
