George K. Hickox

GEORGE K. HICKOX JR. has been Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive
Officer of The Wiser Oil Company since he and his partners recapitalized
the company in May 2000. Since 1991, Mr. Hickox has been a principal in
Heller Hickox & Co., a private equity investment firm focused on the
energy sector. He also serves as a Director of NATCO Group Inc., a
publicly traded NYSE company, and is an Officer and Director of several
privately held companies. Mr. Hickox earned a BS in Geology and a BS in
Petroleum Engineering from Texas A&M University, and earned an MBA from
the University of Houston. He is a member of the American Association of
Petroleum Geologists, the Society of Petroleum Engineers and the
Industry Advisory Board of the Department of Petroleum Engineering at
Texas A&M University.
