Glenda Dorchak – Value America Inc (vusa)

GLENDA DORCHAK has been Chief Executive Officer since November 1999 and initially joined Value America in August 1998 as Senior Vice President of Marketing and Advertising. She then served as President from October 1998 to November 1999. Ms. Dorchak came to Value America from IBM US, where she held several executive positions. Her titles at IBM US included Director of PC Direct, Director of General Business PC Sales, Director of US Channel Marketing, and Director of Marketing for the Personal Systems Group North America. Prior to joining IBM US, Ms. Dorchak was Director of Sales and Service at AMBRA, a build-to-order telemarketing PC business. From 1974 to December 1992, she held a variety of positions at IBM Canada, including National Direct Sales Manager of IBM Direct, where in 1991 she launched IBM's first PC telemarketing operation. In November 1999 Ms. Dorchak was named one of the top 25 executives of the new millennium by Computer Reseller News. In an effort to improve customer service and product fulfillment performance at Value America, Ms. Dorchak initiated a significant restructuring process, which is expected to streamline operations.
