JERRY M. SMITH has been Chairman of Tuesday Morning Corp. (Dallas) since
September and President and CEO since December 1997. He was
President/COO from September 1994, and Executive VP from 1992. Mr. Smith
was Senior VP Advertising/Public Relations and Store Operations from
1989 and VP Advertising/ Public Relations from 1986. He joined Tuesday
Morning in 1984. Tuesday Morning was founded in 1972, and its first
store opened in 1974. The company went public in April, selling 6.6
million shares of stock. Prior to joining Tuesday Morning, Mr. Smith was
Executive Vice President of an apparel chain. He started his career in
newspaper advertising after earning degrees from the University of
