FREDERICK T. VARACCHI is President and COO of eSpeed, Inc. and Executive
Managing Director and COO of Cantor Fitzgerald, LP. His responsibilities
at eSpeed include the day-to-day global operations, strategic business
development, technical development, acquisitions, strategic alliances
and international regulatory affairs. Mr. Varacchi is also Chief
Operating Officer of Cantor Fitzgerald, LP. Before joining Cantor
Fitzgerald in 1998, Mr. Varacchi served as Senior Vice President and
Chief Technology Officer of Greenwich/Natwest Capital Markets overseeing
information technology for the company. He graduated from Hofstra
University in 1988 with a Bachelor of Business Administration in
Statistics and Information Technology, joining Smith Barney, where he
became the head of front office systems development. He later worked for
Chase Manhattan Bank, where he held a variety of senior technology
positions. Mr. Varacchi is a member of the Boards of Directors of Expert
