FORREST WAYNE PATE has been President and Chief Operating Officer of
Golden Enterprises, Inc., since July 1, 1968. He graduated from Georgia
Tech, 1957, Honor Graduate with a BS in Industrial Management. Prior to
joining Golden Enterprises, Mr. Pate was with Texaco, Inc., Sales
Department for eight years. He was a Director with Golden Flake Snack
Foods, Inc., Director with Golden Enterprises, Inc. Mr. Pate is a member
of the First Baptist Church of Birmingham, where he currently serves on
the Deacon Staff Committee, Chairman. Mr. Pate's other activities
includes: Trustee, Baptist Health System; Chairman, Board of Directors,
Birmingham Division of Baptist Health System; Member, Finance Committee,
Baptist Health System; Member, Executive Committee, BHS; Member,
Executive Compensation Committee, BHS; President, Board of Directors,
United Way Food Bank; Member and Past Director Snack Food Association;
Past Chairman, Board of Directors of SnackPac, the Trade Association's
Political Action Committee; Member and Past President, Vestavia Hills
Rotary Club; Member, Board of Advisors, UAB School of Business; Member,
Board of Advisors, Salvation Army and a Member, Vestavia Country Club.
He is married with one child and two grandchildren. His hobbies include
