HARRY P. LANGLEY is President, CEO, CFO, Chairman of the Board of
Integrated Business Systems & Services, Inc. IBSS is the result of a
vision Mr. Langley had more than a decade ago. From years of experience
with computer applications in industrial settings, he knew capturing
more information from industrial shop floors could increase productivity
of workers and machines, reduce assembly line production time and
maximize return on the huge technology investments made by companies.
But getting shop floor information and integrating it with existing
technology was a daunting problem. It required hundreds of hours of
programming. Because each manufacturing industry is different, most of
the program code to capture shop floor data had to be rewritten for each
application, a time consuming and expensive endeavor, out of reach for
most companies. Mr. Langley's determination to realize his vision
brought new ideas to old problems. In 1990 he formed a team to tackle
the shop floor information and integration problem, and IBSS was born.
The company rapidly gained a reputation for solving problems others had
given up on. Today, IBSS offers innovative systems and services that are
easily adaptable to a variety of industries, from the financial world to
apparel manufacturing. The company's unique Flexible Industrial
Solutions (FIS) system and Synapse transaction software are transforming
every industry they touch. The tools work with companies' existing
systems to help them realize increased productivity and shop floor
efficiency as well as maximize return on technology investments, all of
which bring a competitive edge to the companies that contract with IBSS.
Mr. Langley has been the president of IBSS since the company's
incorporation in 1990. He is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day
operation of the business. He first began working in the field of
computer software integration as a project coordinator for Synergistic
Business Infrastructures Corporation (SBI). The Fort Wayne, Indiana
company specialized in concept, design and execution of systems to
enhance shop floor data collection and material tracking in
manufacturing industries. Mr. Langley received an Associates degree in
Applied Computer Science from Midlands Technical College in Columbia,
SC, in 1987. Profile
