JAMES A. MACCUTCHEON is President and Chief Executive Officer of
Sunburst Hospitality Corporation. He conceptualized and directed
the January 2001 LBO of Sunburst, a C-corp engaged in hotel
acquisition, development and operations. Sunburst currently owns
and operates 73 hotels. Prior to the LBO, Sunburst was publicly
traded on the NYSE but is now owned by management and a small
group of continuing shareholders. From October 1997 to September
2000 he was Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer and
Treasurer of Sunburst Hospitality. Prior to joining Sunburst he
was Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer and
Treasurer of Choice Hotels International, Inc. from October 1996
to October 1997. Mr. MacCutcheon was Senior Vice President, Chief
Financial Officer and Treasurer of Manor Care, Inc., from October
1987 to October 1996. He was a Partner with Arthur Andersen &
Company from 1984 to 1987. He has a BS degree in Accounting (cum
laude) from Case Western Reserve University and is a CPA. Profile
