H. Peter Castellanos – Cruttenden Roth Inc

H. PETER CASTELLANOS is Senior Vice President of Cruttenden Roth. Born in San Francisco and raised in the Bay Area, he is a graduate of the University of California at Berkeley. He began his career with E.F. Hutton and Company in 1964, and became a partner and Director of Research at Henry F. Swift & Co. in San Francisco in 1970. After several years of operating small businesses, he resumed his investment career with Smith Barney in 1986 and later Prudential Securities. At Prudential, he was a portfolio manager and published the Emerging Growth Review a research publication devoted to under followed securities. In 1994, he joined Cruttenden Roth as a special situation analyst and institutional salesman. Mr. Castellanos' research efforts are focused on companies with market capitalizations under $250 million. Emphasis is placed on companies with strong balance sheets, consistent earnings records, and new products or significant management changes which could accelerate the growth rate. Target companies are often consumer driven or have simple technologies which are easily understood. His most recent reports have been in Magal Security Systems, a perimeter security company, Hartsmarx, a diversified apparel manufacturer, and Barringer Technologies, a manufacturer of drug and explosive detection equipment. Married with four children, Mr. Castellanos lives in Santa Barbara where he works in Cruttenden Roth's institutional office. His hobbies include fly fishing, flytying, telemark skiing and golf.
