WIRELINE COMMUNICATIONS EQUIPMENT: JOANNA MAKRIS – ADAMS HARKNESS

Joanna Makris serves as a Principal in Adams Harkness' Equity Research department. She joined the firm in 2000 to focus on wireline and wireless companies in the Communications Technology franchise. Prior to joining Adams Harkness, Ms. Makris was program manager at the Yankee Group, a telecommunications research and consulting firm. There she managed Yankee's research and consulting efforts in the areas of emerging carriers and Internet provider services. She began her career in communications technology as a journalist covering wide area network technologies, carrier Internet and data services, and communications policy for Data Communications magazine. She earned two journalism awards for her pieces on the DSL market and the CLEC competition. She holds a Bachelor's degree from Bucknell University and studied at Boston University's School of Medicine. She also earned an MA in English Literature from Columbia University. Profile
