SCOTT MORRIS is Senior Vice President of Avista Corporation and
President of Avista's regulated utilities division, Avista Utilities.
Mr. Morris also serves as the Interim Chief Executive Officer for Avista
Advantage, an Avista Corporation subsidiary. He was appointed to this
position in September 2004. Mr. Morris is a graduate of Gonzaga
University and received his Master's degree from Gonzaga in
organizational leadership. He also attended the Stanford Business School
Financial Management Program and the Kidder Peabody School of Financial

MALYN K. MALQUIST is Senior Vice President, Chief Financial Officer and
Treasurer for Avista Corporation, having joined the company in September
2002. Mr. Malquist added the role of Treasurer to his areas of
responsibility in March 2004. Mr. Malquist spent 16 years at San Diego
Gas and Electric in a variety of financial and management positions,
including Vice President of Finance and Treasurer, Director of
Information Technology and Manager of Financial Services. In 1994, he
joined Sierra Pacific Resources as Chief Financial Officer. He later
went on to serve as CEO and Chairman of the Board of Directors for
Sierra Pacific. He comes to Avista from Truckee Meadows Water Authority
in Reno, where he had served as General Manager for the past two years.
He is a graduate of Brigham Young University where he also earned his
Master's degree in Business Administration. Profile
