JOHN MUTCH is Chief Executive Officer of HNC Software Inc., a leader in
customer insight solutions incorporating intelligent response, decision
management and customer analytics for better customer insight in the
financial/banking, insurance/healthcare, telecommunications and e-
commerce industries. From 1998-1999, he had been the President of HNC
Insurance Solutions, a division of HNC Software. During his tenure, Mr.
Mutch has restructured the organization, increased market share from 12%
to 25% and significantly increased operating margins. Under his
leadership, HNC Insurance Solutions developed critical new customer and
strategic partner relationships. Mr. Mutch joined HNC Software in 1997
as Vice President of Corporate Marketing and was later promoted to
Senior Vice President, Corporate Marketing and Business Development.
Prior to joining HNC, he was a Founder of MVenture Holdings, Inc., a
private equity fund that invests in startup technology companies,
serving as General Partner. Previously, he spent seven years at industry
giant Microsoft Corporation, holding a variety of executive marketing
positions in the time period when the company grew from $285 million to
$5.5 billion in annual sales. Mr. Mutch earned an MBA from the
University of Chicago and a BS in Applied Economics from Cornell
