Goeffrey R. Akers – Amerest Securities Corporation

GEOFFREY R. AKERS P.E. serves as President of Amerest Securities Corporation holding his NASD Series 63, 7, 65 securities licenses and all four NASD principal licenses 24 (General Securities), 53 (Municipal Securities), 4 (Options) and 27 (Financial Operations) with the National Association of Securities Dealers (NASD) culminating the firm's emergence into general securities and the capital markets. Mr. Akers further serves as the Corporate Financial Director for Arcturus Corporation in his capacity of capitalizing company interests, performing financial and engineering analyzes, managing corporate securities and preparing the company for a stock offering as a unique oil, oil condensate and natural gas producer and distribution entity within the industry. Mr. Akers holds a PE (Professional Engineer) in electrical engineering, a bachelor of Sciences in engineering physics from the University of Maine, an M.B.A. in finance from Renssalaer Polytechnic Institute, Troy, N.Y., two Master of Sciences degrees (in mathematics and physics) from Columbia University and a Ph.D. in physics from the University of Connecticut. Mr. Akers joined the company after an extensive and distinguished career in the financial markets as a national authority in fixed income securities as a managing partner of the investment banking firms of Norris and Hirshberg, Inc. of Atlanta, Georgia, Marks Allen of Florham Park, N.J. and sole proprietor of Marathon Capital Management, New London, Connecticut. Mr. Akers has authored extensive analyzes on energy and financial companies such as; Nuevo Energy, Vintage Petroleum, Pride International, Amresco Inc. and Ensco International, while serving as department chair of Southwest Securities fixed income securities division.
