Glenn Epstein – Intermagnetics General Corporation (img)

GLENN H. EPSTEIN is President and Chief Executive Officer of Intermagnetics General Corporation. Mr. Epstein began his engineering career in 1981 at General Electric where he completed a curriculum under its well-known manufacturing management program. In 1986, he moved to Oxford Instruments in the United Kingdom where he transitioned from Engineering disciplines into progressively senior management roles. He returned to the United States in 1990 as Vice President of Oxford's Superconducting Materials division in Carteret, New Jersey, and was promoted in 1994 to be President of its Analytical Instruments division in OakRidge, TN. Mr. Epstein was recruited by Intermagnetics General Corporation in 1997 as President and Chief Operating Officer. He was elected to Intermagnetics' Board of Directors in 1998 and become Chief Executive Officer in June 1999. Mr. Epstein is also on the Board of Directors of Kryotech, a South Carolina company specializing in cryogenic cooling of superfast computers. Mr. Epstein graduated from the University of Vermont, College of Engineering, Math and Business Administration and subsequently completed the management program of the Institut European d'Administration des Affaires, Fontainebleau, France.
