GARY T. STEELE has been Chairman, President and Chief Executive
Officer of Landec Corporation, a publicly traded materials
science company in Menlo Park, California, since 1991. Prior to
joining Landec he was President and Chief Executive Officer of
Molecular Devices Corporation, Sunnyvale, California, from 1985
to 1991; Vice President, Product Development, of Genentech Corp.,
a biotechnology company in South San Francisco, California from
1981 to 1985; Senior Manager, McKinsey & Co., a management
consulting firm in San Francisco, California from 1975 to 1981.
Mr. Steele is on the Carmel Valley Manor Life Care Center Board.
He has a BS from Georgia Tech and an MBA from Stanford
