Ron Abelmann

RON ABELMANN, president and CEO. Abelmann came to Wind River in 1994
from Vantage Analysis Systems, a leading developer of VHDL-based
simulation software for design automation, where he was the founding
CEO; Vantage was acquired in 1992 by ViewLogic Corporation. Prior to
Vantage, Abelmann was group vice president and general manager for the
Instrument Division of Varian Associates. Before joining Varian, he was
president of the Conrac division of Conrac Corporation, a leading
manufacturer of high-resolution video monitors. Abelmann holds B.S. and
M.S. degrees in applied physics from the University of California at Los
Angeles, and an M.B.A. from Stanford University.
