Robert S. Briggs

ROBERT S. BRIGGS is President, CEO and Chairman of the Board of Bangor
Hydro-Electric Company. Bangor Hydro is an electric utility serving
eastern and east coastal Maine. Mr. Briggs joined Bangor Hydro in 1979
as Vice President & General Counsel. He assumed greater responsibility
over the years, becoming President & Chief Operating Officer in 1989. He
has served in his current offices since 1991. He is a graduate of the
University of New Hampshire and the University of Maine School of Law.
