Richard Moroney

RICHARD MORONEY, CFA, is a Portfolio Manager with Horizon Investment
Services. He has been Editor and Director of Research for Dow Theory
Forecasts since 1989 and co-Portfolio Manager for the Strong Dow 30
Value Fund since January 1998. Mr. Moroney has vast media experience,
including contributing articles and columns for Red Herring,
Financial/Web.com, and Physician’s Money Digest in 1999 and 2000. He
also worked as a reporter for the Bellingham Herald. Mr. Moroney is
frequently quoted in newspapers and magazines and has appeared more than
a dozen times on CNBC, CNN CNNfn, and Bloomberg television. Mr. Moroney
won a Pro Picks contest sponsored by American Association of Individual
Investors (AAII) and appeared several times as speaker at AAII meetings,
investment conferences and presentations to advisers. He earned an MBA
degree from the University of Chicago’s Graduate School of Business. Mr.
Moroney graduated in June 1996 with concentrations in Finance and
Accounting and earned a BSJ from Northwestern University’s Medill School
of Journalism in June 1989 and fulfilled degree requirements for a BA
degree in Economics.
