Eric J. Weigel

ERIC J. WEIGEL is Senior Vice President and Portfolio Manager for
Pioneer Investment Management USA, Inc. He is the co-portfolio manager
of Pioneer Mid Cap Growth Fund and Pioneer Growth Shares. Prior to
joining the firm, Mr. Weigel was Head of Global Asset Allocation and
Portfolio Manager at Chancellor LGT Asset Management in New York from
1994 through 1998. The instruments covered included stock index and bond
futures, as well as currency forwards. In addition to his
responsibilities in New York, he assisted with the management of global
equity portfolios out of London. Prior to that, Mr. Weigel was with
INVESCO Management and Research in Boston, managing both domestic and
international equity portfolios using quantitative methods. He began his
investment career in 1989 with the Frank Russell Company where he was
head of forecasting strategies. He earned a BS degree from Iowa State
University. Mr. Weigel worked as an economist with the Federal Reserve
Bank of Dallas and then earned an MBA degree from the University of
Chicago. He is a frequent speaker at investment conferences and has
published in The Journal of Portfolio Management, Financial Analyst
Journal, The Journal of Investing and the Journal of Management Science.
Mr. Weigel has also made appearances on CNBC’s Squawk Box, CNNfn’s The
Money Gang and on Bloomberg TV.
