Alan R. Abrams

ALAN R. ABRAMS joined Abrams Industries, Inc., in 1984, where today he
serves as co-Chairman of the Board of Directors, Chief Executive Officer
and President. Mr. Abrams received an AB degree in History from Columbia
College in 1977, and was awarded an MBA with honors in Finance and
Accounting from Emory University in 1981. Before joining Abrams
Industries, he was employed in several finance-related positions, all in
Atlanta. He worked for Mutual of Omaha from 1978-1980 as an Insurance
and Funds Agent, for Shearson-American Express in 1981 as an Investment
Broker, for First Atlanta Bank from 1982-1983 as an Investment Analyst,
and for C&S National Bank from 1983-1984 as Assistant Vice President and
Investment Analyst in the Trust Department. From 1986-1998, Mr. Abrams
was active at Abrams Properties, Inc., the company’s real estate
subsidiary, serving as Vice President from 1990-1994, President from
1994-1998, and CEO in 1997-1998. A member of the Board of Directors
since 1992, he was elected President and Chief Operating Officer of
Abrams Industries, Inc., in May 1998, and later in 1998 was elected co-
Chairman of the Board of Directors. In mid-1999, he was promoted to
Chief Executive Officer, and added the title of President in 2000. Mr.
Abrams is a Director of several non-profit organizations.
