Thomas Franza – Comarco Inc (cmro)

THOMAS A. FRANZA is Chief Executive Officer and President of COMARCO, Inc. and COMARCO Wireless Technologies and a member of the Board of Directors of COMARCO, Inc. He is an executive with experience in general management, finance, product development, marketing, sales and product management. Mr. Franza has served in senior management positions with COMARCO, leading to his appointment in 1994 as President of COMARCO Wireless Technologies and Executive Vice President of COMARCO Inc. In September of 1998, Mr. Franza became a Director of COMARCO, Inc. In April 2000, Mr. Franza became CEO and President of COMARCO, Inc. Upon joining the company in 1985, Mr. Franza started a new division, which was to be the company's diversification platform from which COMARCO Wireless Technologies evolved. As CEO and President of COMARCO Wireless Technologies, Mr. Franza has guided the development of the company from a tiny start-up to a leading provider of advanced wireless systems and related products to customers throughout the world. Based on the success of COMARCO Wireless, the company decided to divest its other business units and concentrate its resources on the wireless business. Prior to joining COMARCO, Mr. Franza was an executive with Aerospace Avionics, Inc., a high technology start-up company where he was responsible for the formulation of marketing and sales strategy, business development and product management. Aerospace Avionics grew rapidly and was eventually acquired by British Aerospace. Previously he worked in program management for Grumman Aerospace. His formal education includes a Bachelor's of Science from the State University of New York and a Master's Degree in Business Administration from the University of California at Los Angeles Anderson School.
