PETER A.J. GARDINER joined the Board of Zindart Limited in January 2000.
He was appointed Chairman of the Board in September of that year. Before
accepting the position at Zindart, Mr. Gardiner spent more than 30 years
in senior executive positions with multinational companies, focusing
specifically on growth strategies. Mr. Gardiner was Chairman and CEO of
Veriflo, a major supplier to the semiconductor industry, and President
and CEO of Dalgety, Inc., the US arm of United Kingdom multinational
giant Dalgety Plc. Earlier, Mr. Gardiner was Managing Director and CEO
of Associated British Maltsters, another Dalgety division. During his
tenure, the company was awarded the Queens Award for Export Achievement.
Mr. Gardiner is a past President of the British American Chamber of
Commerce. He also served as a US delegate to the Trans Atlantic Business
Dialogue, which employs American and European business leaders to
jointly develop policies designed to improve transatlantic and global
trade. Mr. Gardiner holds a BSC degree in Chemistry from Hariot-Watt
